Reds’ True BBQ

Red’s True BBQ the American smokehouse restaurants first opening in Leeds and now expanding in Manchester, London, Nottingham, Sheffield and many more. The restaurant tag line ‘Let there be meat’ show’s the tongue-in-cheek theme running through the space adding to the Highway 66 American touches. The messy bbq style restaurant where you need to use your hands and get stuck in.

The menu offers what you’d expect mac-cheese, ribs, buffalo wings, sandwiches and burgers which includes their famous doughnut burger (the patties, cheese, bacon, onions and sauces between two glazed donuts!) I loved the food, great for the guys with an extensive beer and spirit list. It’s not for those who count their calories! I tried the Pit Burger which consists of two patties, black angus brisket, pulled port, peppered bacon, cheese, dirty sauce, tomato, onion, pickles, lettuce and onion rings. PLUS my sides, I couldn’t move!
